Skylar, the youngest Belle daughter, is known as the rebellious sister. But her days of sowing wild oats are over-now her life's about running the family ranch and keeping her four-year-old daughter safe. And Skylar doesn't feel very safe around Cooper Yates, High Five's foreman... and a former criminal.

Cooper can't shake his reputation as an outlaw. Being framed for a crime he didn't commit is one thing. A stubborn boss lady making him feel he doesn't belong on the ranch-the only home he's known in years-is another.

But when danger threatens her child, Cooper has a chance to show Skylar what really separates the good guys from the bad.

Rave Reviews

SKYLAR'S OUTLAW (4) by Linda Warren: Determined to get Cooper Yates off her family farm, Skylar Belle calls a meeting with her two sisters to tell them the ranch foreman has to go. But they insist Cooper stay and hint that maybe Skylar wants him gone for a reason unrelated to his ex-con status. To prove her sisters wrong, Skylar learns to work with Cooper and soon finds out her sisters may have been right after all. Warren combines an interesting plot with excellent description -- of people, scenery and animals. A double-pronged crisis in the form of Skylar's daughter going missing, just when her grandparents have come to take her away, adds extra tension to the plot.
Romantic Times Magazine —Alexandra Kay

Belle sisters, Cait and Maddie are happily married with families of their own; which leaves Skylar in charge of running High Five, the family ranch. There is only one problem, High Five’s foreman and ex-con, Cooper Yates. The man is rude and will not listen to Skylar’s orders. He has to go! Skylar’s first priority is keeping her daughter safe, whether it be from threats to take Kira away by her daughter’s grandparents or insubordination from a criminal cowhand.

When both of her sisters stand up for Cooper during a family meeting, Skyler is forced to rethink her opinion. The more she learns about Cooper the more she falls for the outlaw cowboy. And when he saves her daughter, well, there is no turning back.

Master storyteller Linda Warren has a way with words that pulls the reader in and wrings the last bit of emotion out before she lets go. SKYLAR’S OUTLAW is the last beautiful book in The Belles of Texas series and I am sad to day good-bye to these three sassy sisters and their ruggedly handsome cowboys. In SKYLAR’S OUTLAW we meet Skylar’s courageous little girl, Kira, diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, a disease that Ms. Warren has experienced first hand and so aptly portrays for her readers. The gratifying way the Belle family surrounds Kira with love and support touches the heart and helps define the special feelings that Cooper has for Skylar and Kira. You won’t be able to put this book down until the last page is turned.
Donna (5) –CataRomance

Linda Warren had no trouble working lots of angst into the story, and the tension between hero and heroine was both sexual and circumstantial. What I liked is that they realized in the end that they had both been wrong, and worked at getting over their ugly attitudes. When Kira fell into the well, I actually found myself holding my breath - as if that would help get her out faster.
An exciting read, Skylar's Outlaw is fast paced, and hard to put down once you pick it up.
Donna B (Pink Heart Society Reviews)

This third book of The Belles of Texas series is a wonderful look at how people can change over the years. A very well written book that draws you into the country of Texas and leaves you smiling the entire time you are reading. Skylar's Outlaw is a gentle story of love overcoming personal boundaries. Linda Warren's hero not only steals Skylar's heart, but will also steal yours.
Amy LaVora (NovelTalk Review)

Loved, loved this book. Then again, what isn't there to like about a hero with a dark and mysterious past? Linda Warren manages to write such depth into her characters without getting bogged down in angst or going over the top. Her characters are real, likeable and sometimes not so much. Its the level of relatability that makes for a good read, IMO.
The hero is uber sexy and the heroine stubborn enough to get the job done without being a real pain in the butt. They don't like each other at all in the beginning of the book which makes their coming together all the more sweeter. Skylar's Outlaw is a must read as are the other titles in this trilogy.
Ana, www.ireadromance.com

SKYLAR'S OUTLAW is captivating. It is a wonderful story of redemption. If you have read the other books in the Belles of Texas series, you will find some old acquaintances that you'll be glad to see again. Most satisfying reading!

She wasn't looking for a family

But one seems to have found her! Madison Belle can't have children and has resigned herself to a solo life running her family's ranch. That's before she finds a young girl and her baby brother hiding out in her barn...and before she meets their tough but tender father.

As the only law in High Cotton, Texas, Walker is struggling mightily to juggle his job with single parenthood. But his kids need a mother, and Maddie has a way of making them all feel like a family again. The beautiful rancher is even starting to make Walker believe in miracles. Until his ex-wife shows up, claiming to be carrying his child...

Does Maddie have what it takes to fight for the man-and the family- she loves?

Excerpt:

Walker smiled that gorgeous grin and Maddie's knees felt weak.

They weakened more as his eyes traveled over her.

"Do you know how good you look?"

"I just put on warm clothes."

"They're certainly warming me up."

She thumbed toward the fireplace. "It's the fire."

"Not unless it has blue, blue eyes, a curvy body and blond hair."

They stared at each other for a long moment. Almost in slow motion his hand circled her neck and pulled her forward. His lips touched hers tentatively at first and then the warmth of the room, the warmth of each other engulfed them.

Rave Reviews

"MADISON'S CHILDREN (4.5) by Linda Warren: When Madison finds town constable Walker's kids in her barn, she gets on the phone to the lawman. Having been attracted to him since their first meeting, Maddie is determined to help him with his children, who are increasingly troubled since their mother ran off with another man. This charming tale looks at the power of love to heal wounds. Both Maddie and Walker have obstacles to overcome, and Warren's depiction of their healing is spot on."
-Alexandra Kay

"MADISON'S CHILDREN bubbles over with love that is given without reservations for and to all from Gran Dorothea to baby Valentine and all the others in between.

Linda Warren gives us a truly "feel-good" romance that I stayed up late to finish."

Long and Short Reviews --Camellia

"MADISON'S CHILDREN is a continuation of award winning author Linda Warren's Belles of Texas series set on the rolling range of Texas, in the small community of High Cotton. Ms. Warren has a hit on her hands with this series' engaging characters with their frailties and problems that tug at our heart strings. She crafts her story with her unique voice that entertains all readers of romance."

It's the fight of her life...

Caitlyn Belle will die before she'll let Judd Calhoun take her Texas ranch. Her arrogant and wealthy neighbor has been waiting to get back at her for jilting him fourteen years ago. But she wasn't about to be roped and steered into wedlock. Even if her feelings for Judd went far beyond a business arrangement between their two families.

Judd will never forgive Cait for walking out on him. Now that her late father's gambling debts have her backed into a corner, he's ready to take his sweet revenge. First, he has to forget the yearning in Cait's forget-me-not blue eyes. Just when Judd thought he was over her-trust the fearless, stubborn woman to tempt him all over again...

Excerpt:

"Let me go!"

Caitlyn flailed her arms and Judd pulled up and released her. She fell to the ground on her butt, her eyes firing blue flames at him. "You bastard."

He rested back in the saddle, staring down at her. "Is that any way to talk to a man who just saved your life?"

She stood and dusted off the back of her jeans. "You're trespassing, Judd. Get off my property." She swung her cute butt around and headed back to the hive of cattle.

She stepped into the mud without hesitation and bent to a pipe that was gushing water.

He slid from the saddle and went to help her. His head told him to ride away. This woman had hurt him more than anyone in his life.

But his heart was a traitor, urging him forward.

CAITLYN'S PRIZE (4) by Linda Warren: Caitlyn Belle needs Judd Calhoun's help to save her family's debt-ridden ranch after her father dies. But their relationship is complicated by their past --- namely Caitlyn's decision to break off their engagement years earlier after Judd told her he didn't know what love was. Even now Caitlyn's not sure she can trust him, but in the wake of sabotage on the ranch, her options are limited. Warren's well-drawn characters thrive on the sexual tension between them, and the backstories of both of Caitlyn's half-sisters add an extra layer of depth to the novel.
Romantic Times --Alexandra Kay

CAITLYN'S PRIZE was really a very good read! Judd was not a very likeable character to start with, but as the story progressed, you realize that he is much deeper then the first impression, and his hidden depths make him much more attractive. Caitlyn was also an excellent character, focused on doing whatever she had to in order to keep her family's heritage in one piece. All in all, CAITLYN'S PRIZE was an entertaining read!
Noelle --(4.5)Romance Junkies

Award winning author Linda Warren begins a fascinating new series about the cowgirl Belles with the first book: CAITLYN'S PRIZE. Handsome alpha-male Judd Calhoun has no chance with feisty headstrong Caitlyn Belle. Judd may think he can deal with Caitlyn without emotion becoming involved but he learns that even his cold heart can't withstand the passionate Caitlyn. Cowgirls rule the range and the heart in this entertaining book, CAITLYN'S PRIZE. And with two more Belle cowgirls, readers can look forward to more excitement and romance to come!
Donna --(4.5)CataRomance

The story line is fast-paced yet also enhanced by the strong support cast making CAITLYN'S PRIZE a great opening "Cowboy Country" second chance at love romance.

Excerpt:

The door opened a crack and she stood there in nothing but a blue towel that made her eyes appear even bluer.

Her hair was wet and hung in strands around her face. Soft, silky skin dotted with cream peeped about the towel. Sleepy eyes stared back at him. Raw, primitive and all male emotions roused his lower abdomen and below.

He handed her the case. "Here are your things. Your wallet is in the safe at the office. Just thought I'd remove temptation."

Frowning, she held the towel with one hand while taking the case with the other. Her fingers brushed across his and he felt as if he'd been baptized by fire. Baptized like a teenager who had just been touched by an attractive, sexy woman for the first time.

THE SHERIFF OF HORSESHOE, TEXAS (4) by Linda Warren: Horseshoe, Texas, is a quiet little town until spoiled heiress Peyton Ross screams through, driving twice the legal limit, then ignoring the police siren behind her. Peyton is running away from her empty life, but she doesn't leave her bad attitude behind, so to teach her a lesson, the judge sentences her to two weeks of community service. With no room anywhere else in town, Peyton moves in with the sheriff of Horseshoe and his daughter. Widowed Wyatt Carson has buried himself in his work and his 8-year-old daughter, and his sudden attraction to the city girl is unwelcome. The real draw is in the dramatic evolutions all these characters experience before they come together in this charming and funny tale.
-Pat Cooper - Romantic Times

Linda Warren is a wonderful writer with a sensational story to tell. She captivated me from the start with Peyton's spunky attitude and Wyatt's determination to keep the law enforced. I couldn't wait to find out how the story would end. Would Peyton lose her zest or would Wyatt lose control? There is nothing better than closing a book and say "ahhh". Linda wove a tale of love and woe that left you feeling good in the end. If you haven't read a Linda Warren book, I highly recommend you try one today. I for one look forward to reading more of her books in the future.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

THE SHERIFF OF HORSESHOE, TEXAS is a romantic tale that stole my heart. A story about acceptance and self-discovery, it shows that everyone has potential to change-if the desire to do so is present.

When Peyton breezes through Wyatt's sleepy little town she's on the run-from her life but mostly from herself. She will eventually be forced to confront the woman she has become-courtesy of Horseshoe's handsome sheriff. Wyatt, although seemingly self-assured and in control, has his own set of emotional baggage. Peyton, a rich socialite who is initially anything but likeable, becomes the catalyst for change in the hunky sheriff's life. She makes her mark on Wyatt, his sweet daughter and his grieving mother, and does it all without breaking a sweat. Peyton, beneath the glitz and gloss, is a woman who is ready to step out of the mold she's made for herself. Watching her emerge is like watching a butterfly unfurl its wings-truly enchanting!

My only regret regarding Linda Warren's THE SHERIFF OF HORSESHOE, TEXAS is that it had to end. I loved every minute of this story! The writing is engaging, the characters realistic, sympathetic and unforgettable and the dialogue is so perfectly appropriate I could hear every conversation. A great read!

No-nonsense Cari Michaels has loved her razzle-dazzle boss, Reed Preston, almost as long as she's worked for him. When Reed gets engaged, it looks like Cari will never reveal her feelings for him. What a difference a plane crash makes! Cari and Reed are stranded together in the southwestern desert and explore the true chemistry that has been bubbling under their work relationship for years. Texas Heir (4.5), by Linda Warren, is an adventure story with a surprising amount of emotional depth. Warren terrifically showcases how a romantic relationship can change the nature of many other platonic relationships.

5 Stars
Wow, this book has it all; a simmering romance, a test of endurance and persistent characters that inspire readers to cheer for them. Linda Warren’s writing talent is showcased in TEXAS HEIR as she engages her readers to the point of the rest of the world fading to the back ground. A must read from a must have author; TEXAS HEIR by Linda Warren.
Donna - CataRomance

I know that Linda Warren wrote in her forward on this book that it was difficult to write. Yet, I have to say that I really enjoyed this romance. It continues a storyline begun previously (THE CHRISTMAS CRADLE), involving Reed’s sister and her relationship with Colter Kincaid. Other books are also part of this series.

This could easily have denigrated into a maudlin, superficial kind of novel. Instead, it offers up a realistic view of two very intelligent, strong people and how they react when faced with unspeakable stress and trauma. The character development is excellent with a realistic plot, focusing on the extended families of these two characters. People do unusual things when they face a crisis and this book effectively illustrates this in a powerful manner. If you read one category romance this early fall, make it this one. You’ll not be disappointed.

Adopted Son hit #9 on the Waldenbooks Series Bestseller List.

After answering a call asking for backup, Texas Ranger Jeremiah "Tuck" Tucker discovers an abandoned child at the crime scene. Little Brady has been neglected-and it turns out he has no living family. Tuck is determined to give the two-year-old boy a home, and starts the process of adoption.

He's furious when he learns Grace Whitten, a lawyer and family friend, is representing a couple who also want Brady. She and Tuck have never gotten along, and now she's questioning his abilities as a parent. But once he finds out Grace's true intentions for the child, he begins to see beyond the lawyer, to the woman. And to the potential wife and mother...

Excerpt:

"Have you ever thought of having kids of your own?"

Grace was pressing her luck with the question, but Tuck didn't seem upset.

"Sure, when I was younger. And if I'm honest I'd have to admit that when I look at Jesse, I wonder how it would feel to look into the face of my own child. That's a selfish male reaction. I know it would be the same as looking at Brady or Dillon."

"Do you know that you're a wonderful man?"

"Care to back up those words, ma'am?"

Grace lifted an eyebrow. "How?"

"Dancing." Tuck grabbed her hand and pulled her into the den. He poked a button on the stereo system and the sounds of a beautiful slow waltz wafted through the room. He moved the area rug back and flipped off the lights. They were enclosed in a world all their own.

"You're trembling," he whispered against her hair.

"I think I'm a little afraid of what's happening between us." She hadn't realized what she was feeling until she heard herself say the words.

"What's happening?"

"I don't know. Maybe that's what I'm afraid of."

Rave Reviews:

Attracted to Texas Ranger Jeremiah Tucker ever since her sister married his stepbrother, attorney Grace Whitten is sure he'll never give her the time of day. But after Grace recuses herself from an adoption case where Tuck's the other party, the two end up in a relationship. Linda Warren's fresh treatment of a fairly common plotline makes Adopted Son (4 stars) a pleasure to read The revelation of Tuck's mother makes the story more interesting, and Warren's depiction of Tuck's and Grace's complex emotions is spot on.

5 Stars - ADOPTED SON is like old home week as beloved characters from all of the McCain Brother books meet again and wrap the reader in their warmth and love for family. Favorite author Linda Warren dazzles as she catches us up on all the characters’ lives and how they are all intertwined without missing a single beat. Ms Warren continues to tell a tale deep in feeling and with a potent message, this time about child abuse, with compassion and hope. ADOPTED SON is an uplifting family story as well as a sweet, charming romance, and readers can expect to squeeze out a tear or two with this touching tale. It is a story that will capture your heart -- a thoroughly enjoyable read.

Romance Reviews Today

ADOPTED SON is a novel filled not only with romance but emotion. The emotions run from joy to heartbreaking sadness, from humor to horror and hits all the highs and lows in between. Linda Warren draws readers in from the first scene where Brady is alone and eating dog food to survive. Tuck’s story will bring tears to reader’s eyes when he tells the story of how he came to be the man he is today. Later tears of joy streamed down this reader’s face when Tuck and Grace become the family they long to be.

Tuck is the man all mothers want their sons to become. There is not a character flaw that could ruin this man; his only downfall was the need to salvage his pride with Grace. When she finds herself in his sights as a potential enemy lust overtakes them both, and they find they need more than what either can handle alone. As the story heats up, Grace takes over her own life and tells her father just what she wants to do in life, instead of being Daddy’s ‘son’ and gives the story a dimension that makes this one of the best Harlequin Romance novels written, in this reviewers opinion.

Angie - 5 Hearts LoveRomances.com

Once.And For Always

Brodie Hayes is a former rodeo star, now a rancher-a cowboy, through and through. But when he finds out some shocking news about the circumstances of his birth, he begins to question his identity. Luckily, private investigator Alexandra Donovan is there to help him find the truth about who he is. Along the way, he discovers that even a man who thought he'd be alone for the rest of his life can fall in love.

For Brodie, love was something you did once-and for always. But is Alex the type of woman who can take on a stubborn man like him? Because there's one thing about him that will never change, no matter what they find out about his past-once a cowboy, always a cowboy.

Excerpt:

Brodie woke up at dawn and stared down at the woman in his arms. Her head rested below his chin, her hand lay on his chest. She slept peacefully, making an occasional deep breathing sound. That was probably as close to snoring as she would ever get.

It felt so right to have her in his arms. He’d never needed anyone in his life, but last night he’d needed her. It wasn’t sexual, either. Not that he didn’t want her. Last night was about something entirely different. It was about comfort, caring and mental nourishment so he could face another day. Holding on to Alex gave him that strength.

She stirred and sat up, brushing hair out of her eyes. “Good morning,” she whispered.

He felt a catch in his gut at her sleep-filled voice. Her soft brown eyes were languid, sensuous, and he had a feeling she’d look like this after making love.

Raising himself to a sitting position, he flexed his shoulders. “Morning.”

She sniffed the air. “I don’t smell coffee. After spending the night on this sofa, I expected coffee to be brought to me.”  Her eyes twinkled.

“I’m not used to getting coffee for a woman.”

“Cowboy, that is so hard to believe.”

“Well, you see, I’m used to having a woman bring me coffee.”

“Now that I believe.” She grinned, bringing sunshine into the room.

He tucked a stray hair behind her ear.  “But I’ll bring you coffee any day of the week.”

Rave Reviews:

Private eye Alex Donavan has mixed feelings about her new case. A client tells her she thinks cowboy Brodie Hayes is her son and asks Alex to find out all she can about the baby boy that was stolen from a hospital almost 40 years earlier. After Alex takes the case and gets to know Brodie, the chemistry between them burns. But can they be happy? Alex's news has the stubborn Brodie questioning his identity, but no matter what he learns he vows he'll always be a cowboy. ONCE A COWBOY (4), by Linda Warren, is warm and emotional. Brodie's past is an important part of the story, and Warren knows how to weave his various character traits into an entertaining story.

Yet just as Beau has reconciled himself to a life apart, an abandoned baby unexpectedly brings him and Macy together, pitching them both into a dramatic custody battle—reminding everyone that when something's very precious, it deserves a new start.

Excerpt:

"You were married for less than two years. What happened?"

She remained silent.

“Macy…”

“He divorced me, okay?” With angry movements she walked over to the bassinet in the corner.

“He divorced you?” Beau was thrown for a second. “Was he having an affair?”

“No.” She fingered the lace on the crib.

Beau hated to keep on, but their future was at stake. “Then why?”

“As I said, it’s none of your business.”

“You know I’m not stopping until you tell…”

She swung around, eyes flashing. “Because I’m not perfect.”

That made no sense to him. She was perfect in every way. “What are you talking about?”

“This conversation is over.” She headed for the door. “Go home, Beau.”

He caught her arm. “I love you and I’m not leaving until you tell me why you can’t love me.”

Her eyes clouded over. “Because I’m the reason my baby is dead.”

"The Bad Son is an enchanting romance story that readers are sure to enjoy. Two single best friends find true love. Warren writes a wonderful man in Beau McCain and readers can't help falling in love with this gorgeous man. He is so in love with one woman and trying everything he can to stay in her life. You can't help but love his determination and sympathize with him when he gets rejected over and over. So don't be fooled by the title he really is a good son. The conflict between Marcy and Beau moves the plot along as it is based on an inner struggle that is not easily resolved. Adding depth to the book, Warren adds a wonderful collection of supporting characters that make the book come alive and add fun elements to the storyline. Readers will find themselves falling in love with this story and being charmed by the struggles and true love that make this book a simply captivating read."

"I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Beau, Macy and sweet little Zoë. Their struggle to make a new life, especially for Zoë, was heart wrenching. Beau is a solid dependable man that took far too long to make a move with Macy but I had to admire his devotion. Macy decidedly had reasons to be cautious but I just wanted to shake her a time or two, which is a credit to Ms. Warren for making her characters so real to her readers. THE BAD SON (4 1/2 stars) is definitely a book that everyone will take pleasure in reading, particularly fans of Linda Warren. Thank you, Ms. Warren, for another delightful visit to the McCain clan. The lawman with a heart of gold

Caleb McCain, Texas Ranger, will always be a son of Texas-loyal to the badge, always working above and beyond the call of duty. Which means taking care of Belle Doe, a woman rescued from a horrible fate and left without any memories.

But Belle is starting to remember. As Belle disappears, Josie Marie Beckett emerges, and Caleb knows he must back away to allow Josie to complete her healing. As they get closer to finding the person who tried to kill her, she recalls more of her past-including her fiancé.

Loyalty to his job means he must let her go. Loyalty to his heart means he wants to keep her close..

Excerpt:

"What are you thinking about?" Caleb asked.

"About the future. The person who shot me. My memory. And you."

"Me?" He lifted an eyebrow.

"Yes." Josie snuggled into him once again and his arm instinctively went around her. "And how much I'm going to miss you and your voice."

"My voice?"

Josie told Caleb about the warm milk and how his voice made her feel, especially when she felt afraid.

"You can always drink a glass of warm milk with chocolate in it when I'm not around." He was trying to be flippant, but his heart felt heavy.

"It won't be the same." Josie looked at him and slowly kissed the corner of his mouth. "Kiss me, Caleb."

He couldn't resist. He took her lips with a fiery hunger fueled by a year of glances, touches, and yearnings. For a brief moment he ignored the warnings in his head and tasted her tongue, her lips, her mouth, and let himself feel everything that he shouldn't. He couldn't do this to her, to himself, to Eric. Once her memory returned, she would regret this lapse.

Josie belonged to someone else.

"If I can knock you down, you have to talk to your brothers."

Eli raised an eyebrow in disbelief. "You can't knock me down. I'm much stronger than you. And I'm not fighting a woman."

Caroline put the boxing gloves on. "Are you chicken, Eli? "

He stood. "I'm not fighting you."

"Didn't Pa settle all your fights and disagreements this way? Put the gloves on."

He shoved his hands into the gloves and held them up. She danced in and out, taking jabs at his stomach, but he didn't move or respond. This was going to be so easy. She moved close to him, her body touching his.

Glancing up into his stubborn blue eyes, she placed her right foot in between his feet, then she wrapped her arms around his waist. Eli tensed. Caroline raised her right foot, turned it, and hooked his left leg and jerked. He leg slid out from under him and he was on his butt in a split second.

He burst into laughter. "That was a trick," he said, taking off his gloves. "You knew exactly what you were doing."

"But a deal is a deal – and you're a man of your word, right?"
